Elegant design and details that make a difference are hallmarks of the porcelain pieces made by Elizabeth Borowsky in South Carolina.
The artist: Borowsky grew up in Acton, MA, and graduated from Clemson University in 2000 with a fine arts degree and an emphasis on sculpture. In 2012, when her youngest of five children turned one, Borowsky started to pursue her art.
The company: elizabeth b. ceramics, based in Sutton, SC, started in 2013. The artist lives and works in a house, built by her husband, nestled in the woods.
The goods & materials: Frost porcelain clay. Vases ($48 to $300) and bowls ($60 to $350) are made on the pottery wheel. Sculptural pieces ($150 and up) are hand built.
